An Architecture That Appears to Hover
Floating Frames House, designed by Kobi Karp Architecture & Interior Design, rises gently above the water with a sense of effortless balance. Rather than asserting weight or monumentality, the home presents itself as a light, floating composition—an architecture that seems to rest on the horizon itself.
Slender horizontal frames outline views of sky and sea, transforming the landscape into a living canvas. These precise architectural lines do not compete with nature; instead, they frame its constant movement, allowing the environment to remain the primary visual experience.
“We wanted the house to feel as if it were suspended between elements,” says Kobi Karp. “The architecture is there to support the view, not overpower it.”

Dissolving Boundaries Between Inside and Out
A full-height glass curtain wall defines much of the residence, dissolving traditional spatial boundaries. Interior spaces flow seamlessly into the surrounding environment, where shifting light, sea air, and the subtle scent of coastal vegetation become part of daily life.
The transparency of the structure allows light to drift through the home from morning to evening, creating a soft, ever-changing atmosphere. Movement through the house feels fluid, guided by views rather than walls.
“Glass, when used thoughtfully, becomes invisible,” the architect explains. “It allows architecture to breathe and connect directly with its surroundings.”

Material Warmth Within a Modern Frame

“The goal was to create a rhythm of openness and protection,” Karp notes. “Each layer adds comfort while preserving the feeling of exposure to nature.”
