Constantia Residence, designed by Nico van der Meulen Architects, is a striking contemporary home that harmoniously integrates its architectural elements with the surrounding mountain vistas. Nestled in a prime location, the residence is thoughtfully oriented north and fully glazed to maximize natural light and frame breathtaking views.

The architectural design is defined by two principal elements: the light, tectonic steel structure of the upper floor, which rests upon the solid, grounded base of the ground floor. This juxtaposition creates a dynamic yet balanced composition, emphasizing the home’s structural elegance.

Aluminum fins adorn the facades, serving as functional elements for solar control and privacy while introducing a rhythmic aesthetic that enhances both the exterior appearance and interior spatial experience. The main entertainment area blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors through large cavity sliding doors, creating a seamless connection to the surrounding environment and reinforcing the home’s focus on openness and integration.
