Architecture Design of The Beach House

Description About The Project

The Beach House designed by RVO Studio nestled in the picturesque fishing town of San Pancho, Nayarit, on Mexico’s Pacific coast, is a stunning architectural feat that balances openness with seclusion. The beachfront façade embraces expansive ocean views, while the rear side of the home focuses inward, creating private spaces reserved for family and close friends.

Designed to harmonize with the coastal climate, open yet covered corridors seamlessly connect the home’s various areas, inviting the ocean breeze while providing shelter from the sun. The first level is dedicated to social interaction, featuring expansive gathering spaces that foster togetherness, while the second level offers private, enclosed bedrooms thoughtfully separated to ensure tranquility.

The property boasts six bedrooms, a media room, a gym, a three-car garage, four kitchens, and a first-floor casita with its own independent garden. Each element reflects meticulous attention to detail, addressing the challenges of balancing privacy with an exposed beachfront location. The home achieves warmth and intimacy while maximizing views of the Pacific Ocean.

Timeless natural materials, including stone, marble, and wood, were chosen not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their durability in withstanding the salty breeze, high humidity, and intense sun of the Mexican coast. The wood’s organic warmth complements the enduring elegance of stone and concrete, creating a welcoming yet robust environment.

The Beach House took 2.5 years to complete, overcoming the challenge of crafting a private sanctuary in a location that opens onto a public beach. The result is a masterfully designed residence that celebrates the beauty of the oceanfront while offering an intimate retreat for its residents.

The Beach House Gallery:

Text by the Architects: The house is located in the fisherman’s town of San Pancho, Nayarit, on Mexico’s Pacific coast. The beach front façade opens towards the ocean, capturing the best possible views of it, while the other part of the house wants to be private and look inwards, having spaces where only friends and family can see and be seen. The open yet covered corridors connect the different areas without denying the climate conditions of the sunny Mexican coast, but capturing breeze and winds coming from the sea.
