Classic and Modernist house Ebony and Ivory recently designed by Drewett Works, scored big with three-time Gold Nugget winner. Also, earning the firm two Grand Awards for Best Interior Design of a Custom or One of a Kind Home, and Best Indoor/ Outdoor Lifestyle for a Home. Along with a Merit award for Best Custom Home Over 8,000 square feet. Nestled in a box canyon in Paradise Valley, Ariz., this exquisite mountainside residence “is a marriage of light and dark that combines classic design aesthetics with modernist design principles,” notes Drewett.

In the fact, the husband and wife were slightly divided of “style”. So the resulting design was truly a vow of collaboration. With primary goals to meet the needs of an active family with everyone working/ schooling from home, this classic and modernist house provides ample personal space as well as remarkable public space. Then, the contrast of classic design aesthetic and modernist design principles continues throughout the residence with “opposites” attractive. Indoor and outdoor spaces are paired. Kitchen and entertaining spaces are paired.

In addition to this, the owners’ love for food and wine and generous hospitality towards friends, family and business associates directed the design details of the public spaces. Provide comfort to guests along with amazing dinner party experiences, the owners desired a kitchen that showcased the chef but also provided ample prep space unseen yet nearby. Also, a dreamy wine cellar and hidden wine vault provide protection and storage for a legendary wine collection.

Classic and Modernist Design of Ebony and Ivory House by Drewett Works — Blurring the line between inside and out, the 12,317 square foot house is a study in glass and stone with pocketing glass doors and walls of limestone serving as key elements.

Indeed, the highly contrasting colors (ebony and ivory) are paired for the classic and modernist house.

The bathroom is sophisticate design, creates the luxurious spaces and relax feeling.
