Architecture Design of Galeriah House
Description About The Project
Galeriah House nestled on a flat plot near the Paraíba River in São José dos Campos, embodies sculptural minimalism and thoughtful design. Designed by Okha Arquitetura e Design, this residence was conceived during the pandemic to fulfill its owners’ desire for open-air spaces and a seamless connection to nature. Architect Priscila Pereira worked closely with the clients from the land selection process to ensure the design met their unique needs.
The home’s distinctive form deviates from conventional right angles, resulting in a sculptural facade marked by artistic plasticity. Internal spaces open up to an expansive leisure area, which includes a generously sized pool and west-facing aluminum brise modules. These dynamic brise panels provide privacy and animate the facade with ever-changing patterns.
On the second floor, a gym overlooks a preserved green area and connects to the main suite. A spiral staircase links this level to the ground floor’s leisure amenities, including a sauna and pool, fostering a seamless flow between wellness and relaxation spaces.
The material palette emphasizes simplicity and coherence, with Cosentino’s Dekton Radium in a warm coffee tone marking the entrance, transitioning to Dekton Aeris for internal and external floors, countertops, and pool finishes. Minimal variation in materials ensures fluid spatial transitions, accentuated by carefully placed furniture.
Galeriah House is a tranquil retreat that combines minimalist aesthetics, functional luxury, and a profound connection to the surrounding environment.
