Description About The Project

Beach House, designed by Raiz Arquitetura, is a stunning retreat located on the Riviera de São Lourenço beach, along São Paulo’s coast. This modern summer house is defined by an imposing architectural element on its front façade, offering expansive views of both the leisure area and the native forest from the moment you step inside. Designed by architects Alexandre Ferraz and Elias Souza, this residence exemplifies their expertise in creating high-end homes that harmonize with their natural surroundings.

The house is arranged along a south-north axis, with open-plan spaces, soaring ceilings, and a vertical gable on the west side that blocks direct sunlight, ensuring a cooler interior. The social areas, including the lounge and outdoor gourmet space, are fully integrated with the exterior, allowing for a fluid transition between indoor and outdoor living. By placing the leisure area at the back of the lot, the design maximizes privacy while embracing the natural landscape.

Inside, the house features a guest suite on the first floor for elderly family members, four conventional suites, and a master suite on the upper floor. The kitchen and living areas can function either independently or as part of the larger social space through the use of sliding panels. The dining area, enclosed by glass, opens seamlessly to the outdoor lounge and gourmet area, creating a unified space perfect for entertaining.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the house incorporates openings for natural lighting, cross ventilation, and environmental comfort during hot days. The lush landscaping acts as a natural extension of the house, blending the built structure with its surroundings. Vertical gardens are fitted with automated irrigation systems that ensure water efficiency throughout the day.

The house’s lighting design highlights its architectural volumes and landscaping, using discreet moldings and general-purpose fixtures to balance functionality with ambiance.

Text by the Architects: The project for the LIU House, located on the Riviera de São Lourenço beach, São Paulo coast, was built with an imposing architectural element on its front face which could provide the view for all the environments, such as the leisure and native forest in the back, from the entrance. The project is signed by the barazilian architeture office, Raiz Arquitetura, from architects and partners Alexandre Ferraz and Elias Souza, who have several high standard houses in the coast and countryside of São Paulo in their portfolio.
