Architecture Design of Casa R

Description About The Project

Casa R, a project by Ascoz Arquitectura, a studio with more than twenty-five years of experience in the design of homes, whose structure and aesthetics reflect the personality of those who live in them. This home is a beautiful Mediterranean style house located in the l’Horta Nord region of València, Spain. Indeed, the design features two large parallel stone walls that serve as a focal point and frame the entrance to the elegant house. These walls play a vital role in separating the interior and exterior spaces, providing support for various elements such as closets, kitchens, and stairs. They give the house a distinct character and add to its charm both inside and out.

The primary goal of the project was to create a spacious home where the family, consisting of a couple and their three daughters, could enjoy quality time together with relatives and friends. The family envisioned a Mediterranean style dwelling with a swimming pool and a barbecue area. Architect Damián Ascoz explains that the use of stone as a prominent architectural element was important to the family. As it connects the house with nature and represents the essence of architecture protective walls that embody the beauty of construction.

Moreover, to achieve a comfortable and practical layout, the ground floor was designed as the central living space where the family spends most of their time. This level includes the living dining room, kitchen, children’s room, and master bedroom. In addition to this, the upper floor houses three additional bedrooms, provide the daughters with the option of having their independent space as they grow older. The house positioned on a gentle hill. Hence, allow for great views and a strong connection with the garden and pool, enhance the overall liveliness of the residence.
