Description About The Project

Layup House, designed by Ayutt and Associates Design, is a modern architectural masterpiece nestled in the lush landscape overlooking a tranquil golf course. The design draws inspiration from the precision and strategy of a golf layup shot, with the home’s volumes carefully positioned perpendicular to the site. This unique layout creates a prong-like arrangement, allowing nature to flow between the architectural blocks, offering residents panoramic views of the surrounding greenery and golf course.

The house is designed with versatility and privacy in mind, making it the perfect retreat for multiple families. Guest rooms are thoughtfully located at the entrance foyer level, offering independent access and private gardens for a secluded and restful stay. This separation ensures privacy for guests while providing convenient access without disturbing the main household.

As guests approach, they are greeted by a striking bridge spanning a reflective pond, leading to the grand entrance. Inside, the house reveals an expansive living room illuminated by natural light streaming through a skylight above the sculpted staircase. Vertical concrete fins along the staircase create a captivating focal point, directing views toward the stunning panorama of the golf course, pool, and surrounding greenery.

The roof of Layup House is designed to appear weightless, with projecting steel plates creating a sense of levitation. This motif is mirrored in the landscape steps, further integrating the residence into its natural surroundings. The materials used throughout the house – clean white soffits, muted concrete, and dark granite – play with light and shadow, while strategically placed glazing offers varying reflective qualities. The fenestrations on the North, East, and West sides bring in natural light without compromising the residents’ privacy.

Each bedroom is designed as a micro-unit, providing both privacy and connectivity. Guest bedrooms are positioned in a separate wing, allowing for future adaptability in living arrangements. The house seamlessly integrates practicality with aesthetics, ensuring that every detail contributes to both form and function.

Overlooking the golf course, Layup House is a testament to architectural innovation and tranquility, offering a timeless sanctuary where families can come together to create cherished memories. The home harmonizes with its natural surroundings, providing a serene escape that blends functionality, privacy, and beauty.
