SkyBase One, designed by Bespoke Architects and completed in 2023, is a visionary residence set in the stunning coastal landscape of Lagoa, Portugal. This unique villa draws inspiration from iconic science fiction films and the ancient principles of Taoism, resulting in a home that harmonizes modern innovation with nature. The client’s desire to reimagine the traditional villa led to a creative journey that blends cutting-edge design with Taoist wisdom, emphasizing balance and unity with the environment.

Positioned on a narrow coastal plot in Carvoeiro, SkyBase One maximizes its breathtaking sea views through elevated social spaces and a raised infinity pool. The architectural form, driven by fractal geometry and the golden ratio, creates a dynamic interplay between structure and landscape, making the villa feel both firmly grounded and ready to take flight.

At the heart of the home is the open social area, where the infinity pool seems to merge with the expansive sea beyond, offering a seamless connection to nature. Private terraces, hidden garden retreats, and sun-soaked interiors invite moments of relaxation and contemplation. By day, natural light floods the villa, and at night, the space transforms with ambient lighting, brass accents, and shimmering windows that overlook the pool, creating a luxurious and avant-garde atmosphere.

SkyBase One is a retreat for peaceful reflection, but it also becomes a lively venue for gatherings or intimate evenings. It offers a perfect blend of modern luxury, innovative architecture, and timeless natural beauty, where every detail is crafted to harmonize with the elements and enhance the living experience.
