Description About The Project

TM House, a T4 typology residence designed by Inception Architects Studio, in the rustic parish of Lamelas on the South side of Santo Tirso, stands as a testament to deliberate architectural ingenuity. Positioned within a predominantly rustic setting, the house is a masterful blend of modernity and the tranquility of its natural surroundings.

At the heart of TM House’s design philosophy is a conscious effort to establish a seamless connection between its interior and exterior spaces. The house strategically explores the boundaries of its site, showcasing a distinctive natural concrete roof. This roof not only serves its functional purpose. But also cleverly shelters exterior patios, create a captivating interplay of solidity and openness, shade and natural light.

The interior design of TM House revolves around optimizing sunlight exposure. The concept focuses on framing each space to capture and enhance controlled sunlight, expand the visual boundaries of the interior. The layout follows a free plan in the shape of an “L.”

On the Eastern side, TM House unfolds its private realms — an office, two bedrooms with private bathrooms, and a luxurious master suite. The design prioritizes comfort and privacy, create a sanctuary within the house. Step into the outdoor space on the South side, the house elegantly frames a rectangular pool, accompanied by a leisure area. This inviting space includes a cozy living area and a barbecue zone, offer an ideal setting for relaxation and entertainment. TM House is a harmonious composition that not only caters to contemporary living but also celebrates the natural beauty that surrounds it.

A welcoming entrance hall connects seamlessly to an outdoor pool, leading to a corridor that guides residents to the expansive common room, kitchen, laundry area, and an adjoining support patio.

The house seeks a deliberate connection between all its spaces, with respect to the functional relationship of interior and exterior areas and experiences.

The main concept for the interior of the TM House aims at the best framing and greater (controlled) exposure to sunlight. In this way, the interior spaces benefit, expanding the visual limits of each one.
