Villa Aglaea, designed by Dimiourgiki, is a serene holiday residence located on a 1.1-hectare plot within the peaceful settlement of Xirokampi in the Municipality of Platanias. This elegant single-story villa, covering an area of 150 square meters, is designed to embrace the natural beauty of its surroundings with a focus on comfort and relaxation. The villa’s gentle eastern orientation offers stunning views, while the architecture harmonizes with the landscape, making it an ideal destination for a peaceful getaway.

The villa features three spacious bedrooms, each with a private en-suite bathroom, and an open-plan kitchen, living, and dining area that seamlessly connects with the outdoors. The layout is designed to maximize privacy, with communal spaces situated on the north side of the property and the private areas on the south. Large windows and glass doors allow natural light to flood the interiors, providing an uninterrupted view of the surrounding landscape and creating a sense of openness and connection to nature.

Outdoor living is a key element of Villa Aglaea’s design, with a 60-square-meter swimming pool as the focal point of the outdoor space. The pool is surrounded by ample seating areas, perfect for relaxation and entertaining, and includes a barbecue area for al fresco dining. The outdoor space is beautifully landscaped to complement the natural surroundings, enhancing the villa’s tranquil atmosphere.

The materials used in the construction of the villa are thoughtfully selected to blend with the natural environment. Concrete, stone, and wood are used throughout, with a soft, neutral color palette of beige tones creating a warm and inviting ambiance. Natural wood plays a dominant role in the interior design, particularly in the custom-made furnishings, such as wardrobes, headboards, and boudoirs, designed specifically for this project. These bespoke elements add a personal touch and elevate the villa’s luxurious yet understated aesthetic.

Text by the Architects: On a plot of land measuring 1.1 hectares, located within the settlement of “Xirokampi” in the Municipality of Platanias, a holiday residence with an area of 150 square meters was designed. The plot, situated within the “Xirokampi” settlement, is elongated, with a frontage of 15 meters on a municipal road. The slope of the plot is gentle, with the highest elevation located to the west of the plot and the lowest to the East.
