Architecture Design of Kural Vista
Description About The Project
Kural Vista, designed by SAOTA in collaboration with CK Architecture Interiors, stands as a testament to sophisticated luxury on the exclusive G Frond of Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Overlooking the breathtaking Dubai skyline, this villa masterfully integrates with its urban surroundings while offering a harmonious blend of indoor and outdoor living spaces.
The design brief called for a residence that would maximize the allowable area while embodying refined luxury. With no restrictions on the design due to the absence of a designated end user, the architectural team had the freedom to craft an expressive, architectural marvel that aligns with the prestige of its neighborhood. Drawing inspiration from the villa’s waterfront location, the design mimics the eroded texture of travertine and coral, reflecting both the developer’s Turkish roots and the villa’s island setting.
The villa presents a solid, street-facing façade, intentionally designed to ensure privacy. However, this solidity is artfully fragmented by a combination of light and dark materials, vertical layers, metallic and matte finishes, and the interplay of solid and negative spaces. This creates a sense of porousness that permeates the design, leading to the sea-facing side, where the structure opens up to hyper-transparent spaces, merging seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
Inside, the villa is centered around a triple-volume landscaped courtyard, allowing abundant natural light to flood the social spaces. Spanning four levels, the villa is carefully designed to optimize the purpose of each floor. The ground and first floors house living spaces and bedrooms with easy access to the outdoor terrace, the basement level features a garage and spa, and the rooftop level is dedicated to entertainment, with a bar, pool, and breathtaking views.
Despite its relatively small footprint, the villa achieves a sense of expansiveness through an open-plan design that fosters visual connectivity both vertically and laterally. The seamless integration of indoor and outdoor spaces blurs physical boundaries, creating a living environment that extends effortlessly from the formal lounge to the terrace, and from the pool to the sea and skyline beyond.
The natural material palette reinforces this connection to the outdoors. Large-format unfilled vein-cut travertine tiles, wood, and earth-toned marble exude luxury without ostentation, harmonizing with the landscape. The public spaces are deliberately understated to complement the sculptural character of the building, while the private zones are more opulent, enhancing the sense of luxury.
The outdoor areas, intricately linked to the indoors, are optimized for comfortable living. Pergolas and terraces on the rooftop moderate light, while internal courtyards and deep overhangs contribute to passive cooling, allowing residents to fully enjoy the views and the elements year-round.
