Architecture Design of Serendipity House

Description About The Project

Serendipity House, a creation by Wallflower Architecture + Design, seamlessly merges urban living with natural tranquility. Its architectural brilliance redefines urban paradigms through open garden living, create an oasis of serenity amidst the bustling cityscape. Concealed by layers of lush vegetation, the house retreats from the urban buzz, cocooning its inhabitants in a haven of calm and seclusion.

A symphony of design elements comes to life, as a long stone wall adorned with vertical plantings and towering trees veils a substantial portion of the dwelling, granting privacy and detachment from the city’s pulse.

In perfect harmony, indoor and outdoor spaces blur, dissolving boundaries through ribbon glass doors and windows that vanish when fully open. Sunlit corridors embraced by greenery create natural transitions. The restrained palette emphasizes texture and color, with timber screens filtering tropical sun. Overhanging eaves shield the façade, ensuring a tropical living experience that merges comfort and nature without relying on artificial cooling.

Serendipity House’s story is one of fate and meticulous preparation. From considering multiple plots and architects, fate ultimately led to this exquisite abode. It stands as a testament to the power of chance, open-mindedness, and thoughtful design, embodying the serendipitous dream that can only be achieved through a harmonious blend of chance and intention.

Every room strategically lines the wings of the house, ensuring privacy and tranquility, while a strategic elevation places the bedrooms farthest from road noise. Spacious rooms and high ceilings echo a resort-like atmosphere. The exquisite pitched roof design echoes the aesthetic of a tropical retreat, akin to weekend getaways at a resort clubhouse.

The Serendipity House Gallery:

Text by the Architects: Do you recall your ‘serendipity story’? It is a tale of coincidences, chance encounters, and fortuitous moments. Serendipity has a profound influence on our lives, creating unexpected but rewarding outcomes. Oftentimes overlooked, we often do not realize that its impact can be life-changing, in a positive way. Serendipity is the central theme of this house. It revolves around a family and the hunt for the location of their forever home. After a year of searching, their persistence paid off when the opportunity to purchase one of two adjacent plots presented itself. As fate would have it, they were outbid on their first choice. They secured the second, slightly bigger plot, which ended up being the perfect site for their needs.
