Villarci Residence, stands as a testament to the harmonious integration of architecture and nature, perched majestically atop the peak of Bogor in western Java. Positioned to capture the awe-inspiring 360-degree panorama of Salak Mountain and the sprawling expanse of Bogor city, this spacious villa exemplifies thoughtful design amidst breathtaking surroundings.

Selected by its owner as a serene family retreat, Villarci seamlessly blends into its landscape, its lightweight white structure and graceful arches echoing the surrounding terrain. Built with a deep respect for the land’s natural slope, the villa emerges as a focal point, inviting inhabitants to immerse themselves in the beauty of their surroundings.

From the vibrant scents of tropical mountain air to the occasional wildlife sightings, Villarci offers an immersive experience unlike any other. Weather patterns paint a dynamic backdrop, revealing new facets of the landscape with each passing day.

Inspired by the Spanish Mission Revival architecture movement, Villarci infuses timeless charm with contemporary flair. Its exterior arcades not only serve as architectural adornments but also provide practical benefits such as ventilation and weather protection. The contrast solid black stonework is chosen with a nuance of Bogor’s Dutch Colonial architecture that favors stonework material and serves as a transition to the villa’s natural background.

Inside, a blend of terracotta tiles, carved wooden doors, and oversized beams creates an atmosphere of warmth and comfort. Large windows frame picturesque views while inviting natural light to flood the interior spaces.

Villarci Residence strikes a delicate balance between sanctuary and spectacle, offering residents a tranquil haven without compromising on the beauty of its surroundings. With its refined furnishings and meticulous attention to detail, this villa invites guests to indulge in a lifestyle of elegance and relaxation.

Text by the Architects: Site – Villarci is a classic and spacious villa located at the peak of Bogor in the western region of Java. It is an illustration of the thoughtful use of distinctive natural values while embracing the breathtaking and awe-inspiring 360-degree perspective from Salak Mountain, a scenic view of Bogor city, and the vast terrain of the site itself. The client was motivated by the distinct qualities of the surroundings to select this location for this family retreat and was even willing to postpone the planning of his Jakarta home, which was also being designed by GeTs Architects.
