Architecture Design of R+E House

Description About The Project

R+E House designed by DP+HS ArchitectsR+E House, nestled within a serene residential enclave in West Jakarta, Indonesia. This residence sprawls across a 300 sqm expanse, serving as the vibrant abode for a youthful family of four. Meticulously designed by Don Pieto and Henny Suwardi of DP+HS Architects, the dwelling is a testament to the seamless integration of familial activities within its spatial confines.

Envisioned to echo the familial intimacy cultivated within their previous modest dwelling, the design ethos revolves around the concept of “interlocking space.” This ethos, championed by the architects, seeks to forge cohesive links between disparate activities and areas within the home.

Elevating the architectural narrative is the innovative inclusion of a “floating box” above the dining area, designated as a dynamic activity room. Embracing a contemporary aesthetic, this elevated chamber is adorned with meticulously arranged tiles, evoking a sense of playfulness while delineating its distinct identity within the home’s narrative.

Strategically positioned adjacent to the living area, the master bedroom offers a retreat of understated elegance, characterized by natural stone accents that infuse a sense of serenity amidst its spacious confines. Notably, its strategic orientation affords parents a vantage point to oversee familial interactions in both the living room and the activity space, fostering a sense of connectedness throughout.

Beyond its aesthetic allure, the residence boasts functional nuances designed to enhance comfort and sustainability. Air outlets strategically positioned beneath the glass roof facilitate efficient ventilation, while different finishing materials delineate and define individual spaces, ensuring a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics.
