Architecture Design of Pixel House
Description About The Project
Pixel House designed by AGi Architects, approached the design of the with a deep understanding of their clients’ desires. The result is a residence that seamlessly extends the homeowner’s personality, cleverly harmonizing with its environment.
On the other hand, the house is situated on a prime plot, bordered by public access on three sides, with a distinctive setback on one, offering ample outdoor space for leisure. Also, the architects have masterfully designed the Pixel House as a system of privacy and climate filters, ingeniously pixelating spaces to cater to the needs of its inhabitants and the external elements.
Moreover, the first line of defense is a garden adorned with native plants, acting as a shield against the desert’s harsh climate. Next, a pool with a latticed roof, destined to be entwined with lush climbers, becomes an idyllic setting for cooler seasons. The enclosed, air – conditioned spaces housing the living areas adjoin the garden. Besides, strategically positioned openings maintain a comfortable temperature by minimizing heat gain from the sun.
In addition to this, vertical flow connects these spaces with a customized multi – purpose piece of furniture, which serves as the heart of the house and wraps around the central staircase leading to the private zones.

Drawing from traditional Kuwaiti culture, the diwaniya — a space for gathering friends and visitors — resides near the entrance, blurring the lines between public and private. It consists of both outdoor and indoor areas, inviting social gatherings day or night.

Courtyards play a vital role in regulating the home’s temperature, acting as thermal filters. Their operation can be adjusted to expel hot air from the house, enhancing the overall comfort and sustainability of the Pixel House.
