Architecture Design of S-Hilla Villa

Description About The Project

S-Hilla Villa, designed by Idee Architects, graces the hillside of Tuan Chau Island, offering a breathtaking 270-degree view of the iconic Ha Long Bay. Spanning 500 square meters, the villa masterfully integrates with its rugged surroundings of rocky hills, low bushes, and gravel, creating a harmonious connection between architecture and nature.

The villa is conceived as a series of four stacked blocks cascading down the slope, blending seamlessly with the landscape. The design emphasizes openness and fluidity, ensuring that all six bedrooms, as well as the common areas, frame mesmerizing views of the sea. The house is oriented to maximize its relationship with the surroundings, from the infinity pool that mirrors the bay’s endless horizon to the interconnected spaces that merge indoor and outdoor living.

At the entrance, an open passage leads directly to the pool area, unveiling an uninterrupted 180-degree vista of Ha Long Bay. This central courtyard connects the public spaces with the outdoors, transforming the entire ground floor into a versatile “veranda” that blurs the line between interior and exterior.

Above the public areas, the master bedroom block offers a commanding view of the villa and the bay, resembling a heavy slate suspended in space. A staircase block, with hollow ends framing spectacular views, connects the levels, adding a dynamic vertical element to the design. From the foothills, the villa appears as a monumental stone form embedded in the terrain, its base built from local stone to echo the natural surroundings.

The infinity pool, elevated above the lower blocks, becomes a serene platform where swimmers can immerse themselves in views of the sea and sky, capturing the essence of the villa’s seamless integration with its stunning environment.
