Architecture Design of TH House

Description About The Project

Designed by 85 Design, TH House boasts an elegant white facade and was built with the intention of incorporating ample space for plants. The project presented three key challenges. Firstly, the house had to accommodate a couple with sufficient space for their children and grandchildren to stay over the weekend, while ensuring ease of use, maintenance, and security. Secondly, the house needed to enable the family to grow organic vegetables to minimize the need for buying produce that could contain harmful chemicals. Lastly, the project had to address energy and water resource concerns.

To tackle the first challenge, the designer opted for a semi – basement design, which allowed for optimal use of the available space without increasing the height of the building. A garage, technical and storage room were placed in the basement, while the first floor dedicated to a common area that included a kitchen, shared toilet, and guest bedroom. The use of skylights and automatic doors ensured that the bedrooms and bathrooms remained well-lit and ventilated.

To solve the second challenge, the entire roof was utilized for growing organic vegetables, spices, and small fruit trees. Additionally, the designer made optimal use of solar and wind energy to address the third challenge of energy and water resources. This approach could serve as a viable solution for similar projects in the future.

Indeed, the vegetable garden also has an excellent effect in preventing heat for the lower floors of TH House. Also, preventing concrete breakage due to day and night temperature changes and sudden weather changes.

The TH House Gallery:

Text by the Architects: I have been to the last house of the client. They love flowers and growing plants, especially organic vegetables, and spices, without chemicals. However, their previous home is a small apartment building with little space for growing plants, and they even grow vegetables in their bedroom. So when designing this TH House, we intend to add plenty of room for growing plants.
