Architecture Design of VG 5 House
Description About The Project
VG 5 House designed by GSQUARED Architects, embraced the opportunity to craft a home for two lifelong friends and their respective families – a dwelling that not only fulfilled individual desires but harmoniously presented itself as a unified residence. This distinctive abode delves into the delicate balance between private sanctuaries and shared spaces.
Nestled on a sloping site, the residence strategically maintains a single-storey height along the street side, seamlessly blending with its surroundings. As it gracefully descends the terrain, the dwelling unfolds to reveal breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic mountain and the tranquil sea beyond. This architectural choice not only maximizes the visual connection with the natural landscape but also ensures a seamless integration of the home into its environment.
A masterful play with materials becomes the language through which the various levels of the house articulate their individuality. Each segment of the residence employs a unique palette, creating a visual narrative that tells the story of the diverse yet interconnected spaces within. This intentional design choice fosters a sense of identity for each family unit while reinforcing the overall unity of the shared dwelling.
In essence, this home stands as a remarkable fusion of architectural ingenuity and familial camaraderie – a residence that not only meets the unique needs of each household. But transcends individual boundaries to form a cohesive and harmonious living environment.

Text by the Architects: One of the most exciting briefs we’ve had was to create a home for two lifelong friends and their respective familes that catered to the individual briefs yet read as one cohesive residence. This house explores the relationship between private and communal space.
