Description About The Project

YT House designed by Pranala Associates, stands as a sanctuary, meticulously crafted to satisfy the owner’s longing for seclusion. Tucked away in the corner of a vibrant residential complex, the residence cleverly employs verdant foliage to shield its inhabitants from prying eyes, presenting nothing but a serene facade of trees and a discreet fence to the outside world. Meanwhile, within the confines of its walls, the gaze is drawn outward to a tranquil vista of lush greenery, artfully obscuring the bustling street beyond.

Pranala Associates, with precision and finesse, harnessed a structured grid to seamlessly merge the realms of indoor and outdoor living. Despite the sweltering climate of Bandung, YT House remains refreshingly cool, thanks to impeccable airflow facilitated by its generous apertures, rendering the need for air conditioning obsolete.

The ground floor unfolds with a delicate balance of functionality and privacy, featuring a prayer room adjoining the expansive living and dining areas, adaptable to the owner’s discretion. Uniform flooring, strategically laid to accommodate frequent gatherings, sets the stage for effortless entertainment. In a bold exploration of spatial dynamics, Pranala Associates adorned the ceilings with a rhythmic sequence, creating an illusion of boundless expanse, while ample openings invite an abundance of natural light to permeate the interiors.

A contemplative oasis awaits within the inner court on the ground level, where the gentle rustle of leaves offers a soothing respite from the outside world.

The ground floor features an inner court adorned with greenery, offering residents a peaceful retreat within the confines of the home. The presence of trees and foliage enhances the sense of tranquility and connection to nature.

Text by the Architects: Located in southern Bandung with a fairly dense residential area, YT House is a residence that emphasizes the owner’s desire for privacy. The house, located in the corner of the residential complex, uses trees to maintain the privacy of its owner so that what is visible from the outside is only a fence and trees. On the other hand, from the inside, the outdoor view will immediately focus on the trees, not directly facing the street in the front.
