House in Sarasota – The light spectrum of the Florida coastal waterways is gently illuminated on the exterior of this unique residential area and is elegantly integrated with a rotating floor plan. The glass sliding doors open fifty-five-feet southwest in front of the water, designed according to the strong storm code restrictions that disappear when opened. The house opens to a lofty three-sided pool, respecting incredible puddles and limiting views to neighboring neighborhoods.
A projected frame concept was developed to frame the rear facade and shelter it from the southwest sun. This frame becomes a covered balcony on the first floor and extends to the water surface to become a sun deck on the second floor and anchors behind the house by returning to the classroom.
