Description About The Project

Mulix House in Mexico, designed by Arkham Projects, is a peaceful and harmonious retreat immersed in nature. Right from the beginning, the project captivates to uncover its hidden treasures. The striking feature that catches the eye is the imposing volume dominating the facade, seemingly floating above the first level. This volume can open up to embrace the breathtaking views or close to provide privacy, transforming into a grand lamp illuminated from within at night.

Indeed, the main goal was to seamlessly integrate the house with its natural surroundings while maintaining a cozy and private atmosphere. In addition to this, the design prioritizes maximizing the views of the outside. Hence, allowing the beauty of the surroundings to become an integral part of the experience. A lateral courtyard with triple height serves as the focal point, visually connecting all three levels of the house.

Once insides, a grand staircase welcomes and accompanied by lush vegetation. Upon arrival, there is a small exterior hallway that leads to the social areas or extends to the exterior terrace. The social area encompasses the living room, dining room, and kitchen, which can be united or separated. The East-West sides designed with frames that embrace the green landscape, with the western side providing more enclosure to shield from the sun. Moreover, on the upper floor, the focus was to create a space that provides access to the children’s rooms with views of the street.

Overall, Casa Mulix promises a one of a kind experience, thanks to its exceptional connection with the environment. It’s a harmonious blend of architecture and nature, create a dreamlike atmosphere that invites to immerse in a unique and unforgettable experience in perfect harmony with the natural world

Mulix House, Harmonious Retreat Immersed in Nature by Arkham Projects — Indeed, the Mulix House has been designed to make the most of the sunlight. Also. the intensity with which open up to the outside or protect ourselves from the elements varies according to the orientation of the house. On the North and South facades, small overhangs are used to protect from the elements and make the most of the sunlight. On the other hand, on the East and West facades, the designer open up more to the natural landscape or close it to frame the view of the neighbor.
