Architecture Design of NZ House No 1

Description About The Project

NZ House No 1 in Israel, designed by Daniel Arev Architecture, is a 350 sq m plot located on a slope that offers a stunning scenic view. The house strategically positioned with a clear axis leading to the view from the entrance door, through the ground floor, to the rear glass facade. The front facade relatively closed to maintain the occupants’ privacy and to create a pleasant surprise when entering the house by revealing the wonderful rear view.

The ground floor is covered with gray colored fiber cement boards, which creates a “breathing” facade that contributes to the thermal insulation of the house by allowing an “air pocket” between the outer clad and the concrete walls. Additionally, a 50 m”m super-insulating plaster applied to the first-floor facade, and a rough textured white mineral plaster added to minimize direct sun radiation. These materials used to emphasize the main design theme of a clear separation between the ground and the “white box” first floor. On the other hand, the interior of the room, such as living room, dining room and kitchen decorated beautifully.

All the windows of the house are made of advanced, double-glazed, and double-faced, highly insulating aluminum systems. Also, allow outside views while keeping the heat and cold out. External electrical Venetian blinds also installed to give extra protection to the windows. While providing versatile control over the direct sun rays during the daytime. Although the site is relatively compact, the layout of the floors creates a cozy family home with ample room for all of the clients’ demands. Overall, the NZ House No 1 is a beautiful and functional home that showcases innovative design and energy-efficient solutions.

Text by the Architects: A 350 sq ”m plot located on a slope overlooking a lovely scenic view, led to strategic positioning the house with a clear axis leading to the view from the entrance door, through the ground floor, to the rear glass facade. The front facade, facing the street, was kept relatively closed, mainly to keep the occupants’ privacy, but also as a means of keeping the wonderful rear view, a pleasant surprise once entering the NZ House No 1.
