Architecture Design of Pasha House
Description About The Project
OVERVIEW
Situated along the stunning coastline of Costa Rica, this project is envisioned as a beachfront haven that combines modern living comforts with the pristine beauty of its coastal setting. Commissioned by our international clients, we transformed an untouched estate into a series of residences designed for communal living and private retreats, culminating in Pasha – a beacon of innovative architecture and communal harmony.
CONCEPT
Pasha is conceived as a harmonious integration of lush natural surroundings and the azure ocean. A cluster of smaller homes surrounds a grand villa, each structure designed to blend seamlessly into the landscape while offering unobstructed ocean views and direct interaction with the sea’s dynamic presence. The use of natural materials and expansive outdoor living spaces ensures a continuous connection with the ocean’s rhythm.
DESIGN
Studio Saxe’s vision is brought to life through a combination of enduring materials and sustainably sourced local teak wood, creating expansive terraces topped with sugarcane ceilings. This design philosophy fosters a deep connection with nature, bringing the outdoors in. Pavilion-like structures provide secluded retreats that converge in communal celebration within the spacious main villa.
SUSTAINABILITY
Elevating the structures protects them from coastal elements and minimizes environmental impact, allowing the land to breathe and flourish. The design incorporates extended rooflines and strategic vegetation to shield interiors from the tropical sun while facilitating natural cooling, merging aesthetic beauty with ecological responsibility.
CONSTRUCTION
A unique architectural language combines the robustness of concrete with the organic warmth of wood, enabling a modular approach that celebrates precision and craftsmanship. This innovative strategy allowed for the replication of design elements throughout the estate, showcasing a high level of detail and consistency.
