Architecture Design of Onze House
Description About The Project
Casa Onze nestled along the scenic southern coast of Alagoas, is a masterful blend of modern architecture and natural integration, facing the serene expanse of the sea. Designed around a central internal garden filled with native plant species, the residence celebrates openness and connection to its breathtaking surroundings.
The house is divided into two distinct volumes: a horizontal slab at ground level containing the internal garden, social spaces, service areas, and guest accommodations, and a raised volume offering family living quarters with expansive views of the beach. A dramatic double-height void above the living room bridges the two floors, creating a sense of spatial continuity and openness.
The ground floor circulation flows through shaded verandas that seamlessly connect various living spaces. These verandas, along with the layout, maximize natural light and ventilation, ensuring year-round comfort. Transparent living and dining areas embrace dual perspectives, opening to the vast beach and the intimate internal garden, creating a harmonious dialogue between the scales of the landscape.
The pool is thoughtfully integrated into the structure, providing shaded areas even within the water. Rooftop gardens further connect the architecture with the natural environment, blending the home into its coastal setting.

Text by the Architects: Located on the south coast of Alagoas, facing the sea, Casa Onze is delicately inserted into this landscape. The house is organized around a large internal garden with species typical of the region’s biome. A large marquee that can accommodate a variety of uses defines the access to the house. Circulation on the ground floor is always through balcony spaces, which openly integrate different environments.
