Description About The Project

RZ Residence, perched atop the highest elevation designed by Padovani Arquitetos Associados, boasts a sleek and airy design. The entry defined by a garage space and an aluminum-panel-clad block that mirrors the main entrance, all framed by a concrete portico that gracefully extends toward the ground. This minimalist yet welcoming approach ensures privacy while gradually revealing the expansive house beyond. The journey unfolds along a pathway that leads to an outdoor living balcony, showcasing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

The lower level, nestled beneath the private quarters, houses the entirety of the social spaces. A double height ceiling in the living room adds grandeur, while an internal garden brings life and tropical charm indoors. Seamlessly integrated, the living area flows into the gourmet space, home theater, private lounge, and dressing rooms. The social floor also accommodates the functional core of the residence, housing the kitchen and laundry facilities.

Harmony reigns as natural materials like wood, stone, and concrete find their place throughout the interior. A neutral color palette resonates with the wooden elements and concrete surfaces, fostering an atmosphere of lightness and warmth. Contrasting dark shades in the furnishings echo the metallic structure that graces the RZ Residence. The seamless connection between indoors and outdoors was a pivotal aspect of the design concept. The outdoor realm features a spa and an infinity pool that gracefully extend from the gourmet area, harmoniously blending with the picturesque surroundings.

Text by the Architects: Located in Barueri, the RZ Residence was conceived based on the challenge of implanting the residence on a terrain with a more than seventeen meters drop, and a privileged view of the horizon. Thus, the project considers the relationship of balance and opposition between architecture, topography, and landscape, with volumes that sometimes rest directly on land, and sometimes modified. Taking account of the unevenness of the terrain, the construction developed on four different levels. Despite the fragmentation, the residence volumetry, built of metallic and concrete structure, becomes light and fluid because of its horizontal lines which are reinforced by prolonged eaves and the relationship between full and empty spaces.
