Architecture Design of Baroneza XI Residence
Description About The Project
Baroneza XI Residence stands as a testament to architectural finesse and thoughtful design by Gui Mattos. The house located in the serene interiors of São Paulo, just 70 km away from the bustling capital. This light and compact marvel are strategically positioned at the front of the expansive lot, offering a harmonious blend of privacy and openness.
At the heart of the plan lies the meeting space and entrance door, defining a fourteen meter span accentuated by an extensive metal shelf. Serving as a contemporary folding screen to the street, it gracefully hovers above the ground, walls, and slab, framing a singular opening that tantalizingly previews the interior’s allure.
The front elevation deserves special mention, where the rectangular box’s volume and density shine through the deliberate absence of windows on the facade. Instead, zenith openings in the intimate circulation corridor and at each access point not only preserve resident privacy and shield against insolation. But also showcase a seamless surface, accentuate the prevailing materiality of stone wood with white mortar overlay.
In a captivating contrast, the other volumes are artfully carved out. The South face, set back and distinguished by varying materials, boasts small eaves and rhythmically arranged wooden panels that open onto the garden and forest. The lush vegetation not only graces the external landscape. But gracefully infiltrates the bedrooms, infusing the internal spaces with vibrant colors and natural illumination.
