Architecture Design of MSA House

Description About The Project

MSA House, designed by Raiz Arquitetura and located in the Terras de São José II condominium in the São Paulo countryside, embodies the client’s desire for an open, functional, and harmonious home that embraces its surroundings. Positioned on a slight slope, the ‘U’-shaped design maximizes views of the valley and ensures privacy for its residents. The home’s design prioritizes natural ventilation and optimal sunlight exposure, achieved through thoughtful studies of the region’s thermal and climate variations.

At the heart of the layout, social spaces flow seamlessly between indoors and outdoors, centered around an infinity-edge pool that runs along the glass façade. This feature offers expansive views of the valley and creates a relaxing environment with a beach area, sauna, and a six-person spa. The home’s elevated position enhances privacy, especially for leisure activities.

Inside, the ground floor showcases an open-plan living space, with a double-height ceiling enhancing the spacious feel. The area is divided into a dining room, living room, and fireplace area, while a central kitchen island and sliding doors offer flexibility between the social areas and the gourmet kitchen. The ground floor also includes a guest bathroom, TV room, and office, which visually connects to the winter garden through glass panels.

Access to the private quarters on the upper floor is provided by a staircase made entirely of cumaru wood. The upper level features six bedrooms, including two master suites, each designed for privacy and comfort. The master suite has wooden slatted cladding for added privacy and a bathroom that can be visually integrated with the bedroom through glass panels. The son’s suite, located on the opposite end of the home, has a spacious balcony with a hot tub and outdoor lounge, perfect for entertaining guests.

With minimalist lighting fixtures and clean design elements, the interiors of MSA House exude elegance and warmth. Outdoor lighting highlights the home’s lush landscaping, particularly the palm trees surrounding the property, adding to its serene ambiance.

The project is designed by the architecture firm Raiz Arquitetura, led by architects and partners Alexandre Ferraz and Elias Souza, known for their portfolio of high-end homes along the coast and in the countryside of São Paulo.
