Architecture Design of CCL Residence

Description About The Project

Residence CCL designed by Pitta Arquitetura is a masterful fusion of architectural excellence and the lush natural surroundings. Nestled just a stone’s throw away from the beach, within a tranquil residential condominium in Ubatuba on the north coast of São Paulo, Designed to seamlessly coexist with its pristine environment, the residence prioritizes natural materials, expansive open spaces, and a profusion of transparency to achieve a profound integration with the surrounding nature, distinguishing itself as the focal point of the project.

Taking into consideration the region’s climatic conditions, characterized by a tropical, warm, and humid climate, the architectural solutions are meticulously tailored to ensure both quality and energy efficiency. The residence is thoughtfully elevated from the ground to prevent moisture infiltration.

The ground floor of the house boasts a welcoming social area characterized by fluid integration and an abundance of transparency, create a sense of spaciousness and seamless connection with the outdoors. The large doors blur the line between indoor and outdoor living, offer the illusion of an expansive balcony that merges with the lush garden, adorned with tropical flora that harmonizes beautifully with the surrounding greenery.

The structural system of the project is a clever mix of concrete, steel, and wood, which imparts a sense of lightness and facilitates the creation of a roof comprised of large, flat panels positioned at varying heights. This innovative solution not only introduces openings for ventilation and natural light. But also lends an airy feel to the building’s façades, harmoniously blends the architectural volumes with the natural surroundings.

The private quarters of the house comprise three suites on the ground floor, thoughtfully oriented towards the east to capture the morning sun and enchanting forest vistas. In a quest for added seclusion and breathtaking views, the master suite is perched on the upper level, benefiting from morning sunlight and a magnificent outlook of the native forest.

High ceilings, expansive openings, and the use of adjustable blinds promote cross ventilation and the infusion of natural light into the living spaces. These features, coupled with generous eaves that control direct sunlight during critical periods and provide shelter from rain, ensure optimal usability of the spaces, whether on hot, sunny days or during tropical downpours.

Text by the Architects:  Implanted a few meters from the beach, in a residential condominium in Ubatuba, north coast of São Paulo, Residence CCL was designed to be integrated with the exuberant nature of the location. The use of natural materials, large spans, and lots of transparency provided great integration with nature, which became the strong point of the project. The architectural solutions adopted in the project were designed considering the climatic characteristics of the location (tropical, hot, and humid climate), always seeking to create spaces with quality and energy efficiency.
