A Contemporary Home Rooted in Its Urban Surroundings
Designed within an established urban neighborhood, Futuristic House by ArchLAB Studio responds carefully to its context. Rather than imposing a bold vertical statement, the architects chose a single-floor configuration that maintains a close relationship to human scale, landscape, and daily life.

“The challenge was to integrate a contemporary house into an existing urban fabric without disrupting its character,” says ArchLAB Studio. “We focused on horizontality, privacy, and a strong connection to nature.”

This approach allows the home to sit comfortably within its surroundings while still expressing a distinctly modern architectural identity.

L-Shaped Planning for Privacy and Comfort
The house is organized around an L-shaped plan that strategically separates the private patio from the street. This configuration shields the interior spaces from urban noise and visual intrusion, creating a calm internal environment centered on the yard.

All main living areas are oriented toward the courtyard, reinforcing a sense of inward focus and tranquility. Bedrooms are deliberately planned apart from guest and social spaces, ensuring privacy without compromising openness.

“By turning the house inward, we created a private world within an urban setting,” the architects explain.
Open Living Spaces and Vertical Generosity
The heart of the home is formed by the living room, kitchen, and dining area, which flow together in an open-plan layout. These spaces are enhanced by high ceilings that introduce a feeling of spaciousness and light, despite the single-storey footprint.

Large windows and sliding glass openings dissolve the boundary between interior and exterior, extending the living areas onto a wooden terrace that functions as an outdoor room.

“High ceilings and generous glazing allow the space to feel expansive while remaining intimate,” notes ArchLAB Studio.

Indoor–Outdoor Connection Through Design and Landscape
A defining feature of Futuristic House is its seamless integration with the outdoors. Expansive glazing frames views of the yard, while subtle landscaping reinforces a natural atmosphere throughout the home.

Wooden terraces, an open fireplace, and carefully placed greenery create spaces for relaxation and social gatherings, encouraging residents to engage with the outdoors year-round.

“Architecture should enhance everyday rituals,” the studio adds. “In this house, nature becomes part of daily living.”

A Calm and Forward-Looking Residential Experience
Futuristic House by ArchLAB Studio demonstrates how modern architecture can be both forward-looking and deeply grounded. Through its human-scale design, thoughtful planning, and strong indoor–outdoor relationships, the house offers a peaceful retreat within an urban environment.

Rather than relying on spectacle, the project achieves its impact through restraint, clarity, and a strong focus on how people live—resulting in a home that feels calm, contemporary, and timeless.
