The Cantilever house in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is designed by Design Unit Sdn Bhd to ‘float’ over the site of 7000 square feet – touching it lightly.

Comprising 2 independent structures, the 2 storey bedroom and living block carried out of exposed structural steel supported on a ‘forest’ of unusual spaced columns that exalt the feeling of ‘floating’. This steel structure is cantilevered over a lower independent structure housing an art gallery and cinema and is constructed of off-form concrete and includes a green roof garden and swimming pool.
