Glass House in South Africa by Nico van der Meulen

The Glass House in South Africa is arranged on a land area of 4000 m2, with a total floor area of 2500 m2. The investor requested architectural firm Nico van der Meulen to design a modern, attractive, open-plan, light-filled house with views from all rooms to the garden.

Porte cochere is a hanging glass and stainless steel structure, with a view into the house and a stainless steel and glass staircase, suspended over a warm lake, with a ring, carrying striking glass water. up in the background, limited by a two-story high bar. For a feature is a formal living room that is slightly indented, and on one side is a wooden tiled elevator tower. The lounge area is raised a few stages on the family room. The window into the living room area is a 6-meter-tall curved glass panel in the area, where each glass panel hangs farther than the past, with the glass balance holding it in place.

The kitchen started the family room and the living area, with several sandblasted entrances that connected from the living area to the kitchen. A breakfast area next to the kitchen, allows younger children to be specified from the kitchen and family room, and allows direct access to the bar and barbecue area from the kitchen.

Partition for the family room and the bar are marble, decorated with glass and LED strip lights. You can jump from the main room to the pool, swim to the center, swim back and use the winding steel staircase to return to the basic room, or tell a delirious companion to the pool from his stable!
