Architecture Design of Jardin House
Description About The Project
Jardin House designed by Patio Livity, located in the heart of Bandung, embodies a modern concept seamlessly integrated with nature. This visionary project features unique architectural elements that enhance privacy while maintaining connectivity between functional spaces, ensuring comfort. A standout feature of Jardin House is its innovative split-level architecture, which not only improves spatial dynamics but also helps preserve privacy. Despite the segmented spaces, the fluid transition between them creates an engaging and cohesive environment.
Each level of Jardin House is meticulously designed to maximize space usage, offering varying degrees of privacy and functionality. From public areas to semi-private zones, every space exudes an intimate and harmonious atmosphere. These carefully planned divisions highlight the harmonious interaction between social and private spaces.
During the design process, we faced several challenges, including limited space availability on the site and the need for diverse spatial functions. Starting from a basic mass, we aimed for a dynamic spatial configuration to provide a unique living experience for residents. The split-level design was the solution, allowing us to divide spaces without using massive partitions, making the area feel open and airy. The different floor levels offer a varied spatial experience and facilitate connectivity among residents engaged in different activities.
However, implementing the split-level concept posed another challenge: maintaining privacy despite minimal differences in floor levels. We addressed this by incorporating a central garden around the connecting stairs. At the heart of Jardin House lies a green oasis—a stunning vertical garden surrounding the central area. A large tree is preserved in the middle, serving as a visual buffer and creating a barrier for private and semi-private spaces to prevent excessive transparency. This lush oasis serves as both a visual spectacle and a natural focal point, infusing life into the living space. With various plants, an open roof, and water features, the garden embodies the essence of nature, bringing tranquility and vitality to every corner of the home.
The central garden, designed with an open roof, serves a dual purpose. It illuminates the space with natural light, reducing the need for artificial lighting and reflecting the project’s commitment to sustainable living. Its strategic placement ensures adequate airflow, allowing for natural ventilation and minimizing reliance on air conditioning, exemplifying Jardin House’s eco-friendly design. To maintain spatial connectivity, service areas are discreetly positioned at the front of the house on the ground floor. Despite their functional role, these areas seamlessly connect to the upper levels without disrupting other spaces, ensuring comfort without compromising aesthetics and privacy. Jardin House redefines urban living, offering a high-quality residence where inhabitants can thrive amid the bustling scenery of Bandung.
