Description About The Project

PLA2 house designed by architectural firm Dersyn Studio co., the house sits in the sinakharin dam of Western Thailand as a tessellated and private floating unit where guests can enjoy rafting, jet skiing, karaoke, jacuzzi nights, group dining, and more casual gatherings. The project is an expansion of the firm’s successful Z9 resort, completed back in 2017 with dramatic curved lines that break into straight and dynamic planes in the PLA2 raft.

Even the construction of the house takes inspiration from these water -living creatures. The team envisioned the shape of the PLA2 House based on the anatomies of a male and female snake- head fish swimming together. It comprises two abstracted volumes. Males are smaller in size, and fresher in color, while females are larger and darker. Therefore, the house has an exterior cloaked in two shades of wood to distinguish the two sexes, while etched steel frames on the facade mimic the gills of the snake-head fish when it opens its mouth.

For a luxurious experience, the PLA2 House hosts an outdoor pool that stands out in its light blue tone. The addition of the pool enhances the illustration of freshwater life that the house wants to invoke. Meanwhile, darker, brass and sandy colors populate the interior including the entrance hall, the bedroom suite, and the living areas. Indeed, PLA2 House is beautiful inside and out and even boasts modern amenities to ensure guests get the most of their stay surrounded by beautiful water scenery and the kaleidoscope of colors on the horizon.

Materials of PLA2 House are wise, the architects cloaked the exterior shell in two different shades of wood – reflecting the female/ male distinction.

Each wooden volume of PLA2 House is then punctuated by rusty-looking etched steel frames on the front façades, evoking the gills of the snake-head fish when its mouth opens up.

The interior is with sophisticated design.

Also, there is an ideal place to enjoy nature.

The integrated area of kitchen and dining area with outdoor-indoor spaces.

Text by the Architects: Pla2 project starting from the Z9 resort, has been very successful, starting with the Z9 success project and having a Passive Activity activities design, Pla 2 project is a Passive Activity + Private = Active Activity + Group planning. Design studied the context of the location. In conclusion, the raft is made. The raft is usually in the form of recreation + karaoke + water rafting. Adjusted to accept the same group of customers who want to get a raft + Group Private = Special. Born to be a Special Activity by using part of the facility from Z9, such as Supply food & Beverage and accommodation on the Z9 raft, in some cases the party.
