Cumulus Villa designed by Arkana Architects, nestled in the serene area of Ungasan, Bali, is a stunning tropical-contemporary family retreat designed to harmonize modern luxury with lush natural surroundings. The villa is characterized by expansive green spaces flanking both sides of the building, offering breathtaking views and a seamless indoor-outdoor living experience. Its innovative diagonal layout maximizes garden areas while creating open, airy interiors, including a central living room that serves as the perfect relaxation hub. Transparent sliding doors connect the green spaces into a unified axis, allowing fresh breezes and unobstructed views to flow freely throughout the home.

The villa’s design celebrates tropical living with features like a swimming pool, gazebo, treehouse, and a rooftop offering panoramic views of Melasti Beach. Unique architectural elements include a floating glass-enclosed bedroom and laser-cut sliding doors inspired by cumulus clouds, which cast enchanting shadows when exposed to sunlight. A striking stone wall, made from locally sourced materials, anchors the villa’s vertical circulation and adds a touch of rustic charm. Meanwhile, natural materials such as teakwood and andesite stone seamlessly blend with modern structural elements like steel, creating a harmonious balance of tradition and innovation.

Like a villa that is used for vacation and taking a break from routine, Cumulus Villa is designed with a wide open green space area on both sides of the building. They have stunning views from inside the building. Cumulus Villa is dominated by the outdoor area. Not only gardens, but we also combine them with a swimming pool, gazebo, and a tree house.
